The New York Times
This website was created for participation in the Model United Nations Conference, better known as MUN, of Salcantay College in SLCMUN 2023. This website belongs to the news of The New York Times of the Third Party Actors (TPA) committee, directed by Daniela del Castillo and Fabrizzio Milla, to cover different committees during the conference for the movement of these with news updated at all times respect diplomacy, copyright and the discretion of the participants to upload photos and videos to the platform.

History
1851
The New York Times was created in 1851 by Henry Jarvis Raymond and George Jones. Henry Jarvis Raymond was an American journalist and politician, and George Jones was a businessman and publisher.
2016
Starting in 2016, The New York Times began to cover its articles entirely in Spanish and in 2019 began to expand into Arabic and Asian languages as well.
1860
In 1860, The New York Times newspaper had its first peak of media impact with coverage of the U.S. presidential election.
About the delegate
I am greeting all the readers of the website. My name is Valeria Gutierrez Contreras. I am 15 years old and belong to the Santisimo Nombre de Jesus School delegation. I started as a press delegate in CARMUN 2022, and since then, I have had a positive and growing approach in the press committees, but I am also involved in DISEC committees and intense politics. I have belonged to the MUN community since March 2022, and since then, the impact of this model has changed my life in research and, in general, a more open and educated mind in a positive way that has helped me grow as a person. I appreciate the opportunity to participate in this conference and thank the time of the people involved for the creation of the conference and its overall control.
